In this workshop based on George Saunders' "A Swim in a Pond in The Rain," participants will analyze Saunders' work, followed by targeted writing prompts. All readers and writers welcome.
The workshop is based on Saunders’ best-selling A Swim in a Pond in The Rain: In Which Four Russians Give a Master Class on Writing, Reading, and Life. Participants will analyze Saunders' work closely followed by targeted writing prompts. Bring a piece of writing that you’re working on, and re-work it with us.
This workshop is being held in anticipation of George Saunders' free public lecture at Tulane University on April 9, part of the Tulane University School of Liberal Arts' Carole Barnette Boudreaux '65 Great Writers Series.
Kate Baldwin is a professor of English, Communication, and Gender & Sexuality Studies at Tulane University who specializes in comparative literary and cultural histories.
