Pink ParlorLPO's Musical Story Hour highlights a musician from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra who will perform alongside the reading of a classic children's book.
The spring series includes:
- March: Cellist Manuel Papale will accompany a reading of Barbara S. Garriel's I Know a Shy Fellow Who Swallowed a Cello.
- April: Trumpeter Alan Tolbert will accompany a reading of Dr. Seuss's Oh, The Places You'll Go.
- May: Violist Sixto Franco will accompany a reading of Yuyi Morales's Dreamers.
In partnership with Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

Milton H. Latter Memorial Library
Milton H. Latter Memorial Library is located on St. Charles Avenue. The 1907 neo-Italianate mansion was generously donated to the city by the Latter family to serve as a library in memory of their son. Today the branch offers programs for all ages as well as reading rooms, computers, printers, and wi-fi.
