Free Tax Assistance with AARP

Dining RoomReceive free tax help on a first-come, first-served basis.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are certified by the IRS to prepare federal returns. This includes many items on Form 1040, the U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. The volunteers also can prepare most Louisiana state tax returns.
Bring the following to complete your taxes:
- Previous year's completed taxes
- Photo ID for each taxpayer and for spouse, as applicable
- Social Security cards for every individual on tax return
- Checking/savings account information for direct deposit
- IRS Personal Identification Number (required if you have one)

Milton H. Latter Memorial Library is located on St. Charles Avenue. The 1907 neo-Italianate mansion was generously donated to the city by the Latter family to serve as a library in memory of their son. Today the branch offers programs for all ages as well as reading rooms, computers, printers, and wi-fi.
