Art GalleryCelebrate the city’s legacy and the resilience and maintenance of Creole culture in New Orleans through arts and culture.
Nou La-We are Here: In Rhythm of Our Creole Roots is a living, traveling exhibition featuring artists across Louisiana paying homage to Louisiana Creole culture and heritage. Curated by Condoleezza Semien, Nou La pairs fine arts with digital storytelling where viewers will explore life, religion, and the differing experiences of Creoles which is what makes our culture vibrant, unique, and unforgettable.
The exhibition will be open for public viewing 10am - 12pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will close on September 26, 2026 before going to the next parish. Light refreshments will be served. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the event time.
Featured artists: Dyvonna S. Aye, Johari Smith, Yufani S., Donald Davis, Jefani Smith, and Condoleeza Semien.
