Get started writing or refresh your writing practice with activities designed to surprise your imagination and make you think in new ways. Bring a playful spirit to your poetry or any kind of writing.
Maybe you’re feeling stuck in your writing, and you want to find ways to refresh your writing practice—or maybe you’re looking to start writing, period, but you're not sure how or where to begin. If any of that is true, this single-session workshop, open to writers at any level of experience, may be for you.
We’ll engage in low-stakes activities designed to surprise our imagination and give us permission to write (and think) in new and different ways. We’ll read a little, write a lot, and have some great discussions about writing and imagination. Our focus will be on poetry, but you can bring the playful but serious spirit of this class to any writing project you pursue.
