Learn how the Smart911 website and app can help older adults stay safe in an emergency.
September is National Preparedness Month, and it's especially important for older adults to be prepared for an emergency. Smart911 can help you share critical medical information with first responders, receive emergency weather and traffic alerts, and let responders know if you need special assistance when disaster strikes. Join folks from NOLA Ready and AARP to learn more about this important service and create your own Smart911 account. Event registration recommended but not required.
