Explore stories through the performing arts with Young Audiences of Louisiana. Their artists are touring New Orleans Public Library locations throughout the city this summer.
This interactive workshop is presented by Young Audiences of Louisiana to provide a unique learning experience for children ages 6 months to 5 years old and their caregivers. Building on the success of Louisiana Wolf Trap residencies, YALA's arts-integrated workshops assist caregivers with early literacy strategies they can implement at home and engage children in an experience that combines storytelling, music, and movement.
Sponsored by the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.

In 2016, Mid-City Library relocated to The Automotive Life Insurance Company Building. Built in 1963, this mid-century modern gem was designed by Curtis & Davis Architects, who are also known for designing the Superdome and the Main Library on Loyola Ave. In 2010, the building was recognized as a historic landmark by the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission.
