An instructor from ricRACK, a local upcycling and fabric sustainability nonprofit, leads a single-session sewing class perfect for adventurous beginners or those who want to brush up on their sewing skills. The class will guide you through sewing a simple two-piece pattern for a basic peasant cap that can later be embellished for a variety of costume purposes by adding horns, ears, beading, or bells.
In this class, you'll get practice sewing a three-dimensional item with curved seams, a lining, and attached ties.
Sewing machines will be available for your use. Fabric and supplies will be provided by ricRACK.
Registration is required as sewing machines are limited.
