Lori Downs is an environmental engineer and recognized climate and sustainability leader with over 25 years of global experience. She has empowered thousands of individuals globally to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors that have resulted in significant and lasting change. Lori lives in the Greater New Orleans area with her family, where she champions ecohabits at home, such as meal planning to reduce food waste and using reusable products. However, she is still trying to get her kids to turn off the lights when they leave the room.

Milton H. Latter Memorial Library is located on St. Charles Avenue. The 1907 neo-Italianate mansion was generously donated to the city by the Latter family to serve as a library in memory of their son. Today the branch offers programs for all ages as well as reading rooms, computers, printers, and wi-fi.
