Local filmmaker, artist, and beekeeper Carl Harrison Jr. leads "The Secret Language of Bees"—an engaging workshop for kids that blends storytelling, film, and hands-on learning.
Discover the fascinating world of honeybee communication, explore the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystems, and experience how bees uniquely connect people, food, and place. The program features a screening of "The Buzz of St. Roch," Carl's short documentary about urban beekeeping and memory in New Orleans, followed by a Q&A, live demonstration of beekeeping tools, and an interactive conversation.
This event is open to children 6 - 12 years of age and their families.
Sponsored by the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.
