Padres Comprometidos es un programa gratis abierto a cualquier padre de estudiante en una escuela secundaria que orienta a los padres al sistema escolar, admisiones universitarias y ayuda financiera.
Padres Comprometidos: Cohorte 5
Puentes New Orleans es una organización comunitaria y sin fines de lucro con programas de apoyo a jóvenes latinos y sus padres dentro de las escuelas secundarias en Nueva Orleans.
Padres Comprometidos es un programa gratis abierto a cualquier padre/cuidador de estudiante en las escuelas secundarias que se trata de los siguientes temas por medio de talleres presenciales y virtuales:
- 25 de enero (presencial de 10:30am - 12:30pm) - Orientación al programa
- 28 de enero (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Derechos legales de estudiantes en el sistema escolar
- 4 de febrero (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Requisitos de la escuela secundaria
- 11 de febrero (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Caminos de educación post secundaria
- 18 de febrero (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Ayuda financiera y becas para estudiantes
- 22 de febrero (presencial de 10:30am - 12:30pm) - Graduación del programa
Puentes New Orleans invita todos los padres que se registren en este formulario y sus alumnos a una orientación necesaria y presencial el 25 de enero para introducciones entre todos y para mejor conocer al programa. Va a proporcionar comida y cuidado de niños para los padres que confirmen la asistencia a la orientación abajo.

Puentes New Orleans is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides programs to support Latino youth and their parents in New Orleans high schools.
Engaged Parents is a free program open to any parent/caregiver of a student in high school that addresses the following topics through in-person and virtual workshops:
- January 25 (in person from 10:30am - 12:30pm) - Orientation to the program
- January 28 (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Legal rights of students in the school system
- February 4 (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - High School Requirements
- February 11 (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Post-secondary education paths
- February 18 (virtual 6:30pm- 8pm) - Financial aid and scholarships for students
- February 22 (in person from 10:30am - 12:30pm) - Program Graduation
Puentes New Orleans invites all parents who register and their students to a required in-person orientation on January 25th for introductions to each other and to better get to know the program. They will provide food and childcare for parents who RSVP to the orientation.
