Celebrate spooky season by crocheting a Halloween-inspired appliqué pin to dress up your costume or treat bag. Instruction will be provided, but knowledge of basic crochet stitches is recommended.
With the help of an in-person instructor and a video tutorial from Creativebug, follow one of several Halloween-inspired appliqué patterns by crochet designer Twinkie Chan. Bring your favorite size H or I crochet hook, or use one of ours. Yarn will be provided.
The class leads you step-by-step through a bewitching array of stitches and techniques, from single crochet up to treble crochet, working in rows and rounds, making an invisible join (or perhaps a phantom join?), and an otherworldly way to change yarn colors.
Attach a bar pin backing for a bewitching brooch, or combine multiple appliqués for fun projects like enchanting garlands and spine-tingling party invitations. Whether you're an intrepid beginner or an experienced crocheter, these charming shapes will inspire you to conjure up wickedly delightful decorations that will leave everyone spellbound.
Registration is recommended as space is limited. Walk-ins are welcome for any remaining space.
