9/4 Session One: Earning, Employment, and Income
Learn that healthy personal finances require planning and managing.
9/18 Session Two: Budgeting
Investigate the importance of budgeting and plan for staying within a budget.
10/02 Session Three: Savings
Analyze the role that saving plays in your personal finances. Explore how having a healthy savings plan is necessary in all phases of life, but is especially critical for big-ticket items and emergencies.
10/16 Session Four: Credit and Debt
Analyze the importance of good credit and the outcomes of wise and poor credit use.
10/30 Session Five: Consumer Protection
Explore consumer protection basics, including financial literacy, avoiding scams, managing your money, using credit and loans carefully, and protecting your personal information.
11/13 Session Six: Investing
Explore the difference between saving and investing, the advantages of and potential returns from investing, and common types of investment products. Learn about various types of investment risks, and self-assess your personal investment risk tolerance.

Norman Mayer Library is named for New Orleans businessman and one of the original Tulane College of Commerce and Business guarantors, Norman Mayer. After his passing, his wife donated money to the New Orleans Public Library to have the Library opened. Doors opened in 1949, and the Library has been serving the Gentilly area since.
