SNAP Assistance

With the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services

The Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services will provide SNAP Assistance. They help with applying, account maintenance, and questions about the programs.

Department of Children and Family Services can also assist with Family Independence Temporary Assistance (FiTap) and Kinship (KCSP).

Apply online for SNAP Assistance in Main Library's computer lab, Mondays 10:30a-2:30p. Department of Children and Family Services staff will be available in the lab to answer questions and help with online SNAP applications.

In partnership with the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services.

About the branch

The Main Library, located in the Central Business District, opened in December 1958. The building, encompassing three main floors and two sub-basements, is the Library's flagship location, providing the system's largest collection of popular and research sources.

The Main Library offers a wide collection of books, music, and movies, and hosts many programs for children, teens, and adults.
