Dr. Pat Austin reads from her memoir and speaks on her life as a teacher and the impact of teachers everywhere.
Are you considering teaching? Pat will read from Tales from a Teaching Life: Vignettes in Verse, published by the University of New Orleans Press, sharing anecdotes of a decades-long career ranging from elementary to university to online teaching. Her writing conveys the emotion, accomplishment, and meaning of a lifelong dedication to reading and teaching.
Afterward, Pat will answer your questions about everything you've ever wanted to know of the life of an educator but were afraid to, or haven't had the opportunity to ask.
