In celebration of Día del Libro (Children’s Book Day), Spanish language classes from New Orleans are invited to a field trip featuring a performance by Colombian musician Gaita Loop.
Enjoy a live performance by Colombian musician Gaita Loop followed by highlights of Spanish language offerings from the Library. Gaita Loop is a young artist from Barranquilla, Colombia who loops the traditional gaita (indigenous wind instrument of the Colombian Caribbean) with electronic beats.
The program will be bilingual in Spanish and English.
If you're a 3rd - 8th grade Spanish language class in New Orleans and would like to attend, please email awander@nolalibrary.org by Monday, April 15th or until spots are filled.

The Main Library, located in the Central Business District, opened in December 1958. The building, encompassing three main floors and two sub-basements, is the Library's flagship location, providing the system's largest collection of popular and research sources.
The Main Library offers a wide collection of books, music, and movies, and hosts many programs for children, teens, and adults.
