Celebrate the release of our first anthology. "Renewed" is a collection of work from finalists in our 2023 Summer Fun Adult Writing Contest. There will be readings, refreshments, and music.
The New Orleans Public Library celebrates the return of our Adult Writing Contest with the publication of Renewed: A New Orleans Public Library Anthology. As an annual publication showcasing the talents of New Orleans Writers, Renewed will help us preserve and celebrate the rich and diverse culture of our city.
Writers were asked to write on the theme Renewal, and interpret the theme any way they liked, from rekindling a friendship, to rebuilding after a storm, to renewing books on a Library card.
Giveaway copies of the book will be available while supplies last. One per person. You must be present to get one.
Those interested in reading the Anthology can request a copy for check out from the Library by visiting our online catalog.
