Have fun while building literacy skills.
Kids in grades K - 2 will read, write, and play games with teen mentors to strengthen literacy skills through creative storytelling, writing, and reading activities.
Light dinner will be served.
Register in advance to sign a K - 2 student up as a Little Reading Buddy. Additional consent forms will need to be completed in advance or at the first session. While each week centers on a unique theme, it is encouraged that Little Buddies attend all 5 consecutive sessions on the following Wednesdays: 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, and 4/16.
In partnership with 826 New Orleans’ Early Literacy Initiative, LitUp!. Sponsored by The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.
