A six-session seminar series aimed at reducing barriers experienced by caregivers supporting Autistic individuals.
There are significant barriers caregivers of Autistic individuals face when trying to access information, training, and support to help them navigate supporting their Autistic child(ren). These barriers are heightened for individuals with marginalized identities including race, gender, and low income. The Autism Society of Greater New Orleans is launching a 6 session seminar series aimed at reducing these barriers and providing free, accurate, and actionable information to caregivers of Autistic individuals.
Space is limited, and free childcare will be provided during the seminars for those who need it. Caregivers should expect to attend all 6 sessions, light refreshments will be provided, and time for caregivers to network with each other will also be available. The location has free off-street parking and easy public transportation access with a bus stop right on the street corner.
