José Torres-Tama will read from "Encuentro: New Latinx Performances for the American Theater" and his poetry book, "Immigrant Dreams and Alien Nightmares." Followed by a Q&A and book signing.
As a writer/poet, performance and visual artist, Torres-Tama explores the underbelly of the "American Dream" mythology, New Orleans Creole culture, and the anti-immigrant hysteria currently gripping the USA.
