Learn about the history and journey of the Black Panther Party with Black Panther Party members and Dr. Angela Allen-Bell of Southern University Law School.
Dr. Allen-Bell will provide a legal and policy overview of what happened to the Louisiana Black Panther Party, followed by a panel of BPP members who will discuss their work and legacy. Omorosa Newman will follow with an overview of state and federal redress possibilities, and Tiansha Fu will provide an international perspective. The program will close with Trent Smith's call to action to pass the mantle to the next generation.

The Main Library, located in the Central Business District, opened in December 1958. The building, encompassing three main floors and two sub-basements, is the Library's flagship location, providing the system's largest collection of popular and research sources.
The Main Library offers a wide collection of books, music, and movies, and hosts many programs for children, teens, and adults.
