Explore stories through the performing arts with Young Audiences of Louisiana. Their artists are touring New Orleans Public Library locations throughout the city this summer.
This interactive workshops is presented in partnership with Young Audiences of Louisiana to provide a unique learning experience for children ages 6 months to 5 years old and their caregivers. Building on the success of Louisiana Wolf Trap residencies, YALA's arts-integrated workshops assist caregivers with early literacy strategies they can implement at home and engage children in an experience that combines storytelling, music, and movement.

Located in the Bywater neighborhood, Alvar Library was built by the WPA in 1940 and is a fine example of the Art Deco architectural style of that period.
