In this beginner class, learn to keep the hoop spinning on your waist and other ways to move the hoop using your hands. Hooping builds core strength, and improves flexibility and balance.
If you haven't had success with hooping around your waist in the past, it might be the hoop. Specialty handmade hoops that are bigger and easier to use will be provided for use during the program.
Jennette Ginsburg of Hey Now Hooping has over fifteen years experience teaching hooping to adults and kids. Her patient energy and helpful pointers ensure that everyone has fun and feels successful.

Norman Mayer Library is named for New Orleans businessman and one of the original Tulane College of Commerce and Business guarantors, Norman Mayer. After his passing, his wife donated money to the New Orleans Public Library to have the Library opened. Doors opened in 1949, and the Library has been serving the Gentilly area since.
