An opening reception for artist Larry Ra's work in partnership with the National Conference of Artists and the New Orleans Martin Luther King Jr. Exhibition Council in 2025.
The NCA MLK Exhibition celebrates the life & legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Civil Rights Movement, and those who work to further peace and human understanding through the arts.
The featured artist, Larry Ra, AKA Brother Larry, is a New Orleans artist that specializes in video editing and logo design, but is primarily known for his acrylic painting. He has worked on a collection of paintings that provide a narrative of the African American experience. In 2018, he began a mission of creating artwork that would compel the people into greater consciousness: art that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also provokes conversations that are necessary for our personal and collective growth.
The artwork will be on view until March 31, 2025.
