Main Library's inaugural Scrabble Spellabration will feature 1-on-1 games, 4-person games, giant Scrabble, and simultaneous "Play the Pro" games.
This event is open to word enthusiasts of all ages and skill-levels. Bring your own board or play one of ours. Bring a friend or make one across the Scrabble board. Members of the North American Scrabble Players Association, Club 541 will be on hand to coach, challenge, and cheer. Register to play pro-player Helen Joffe of Club 541, who will play 6 games/6 opponents. The Main Library, located in the Central Business District, opened in December 1958. The building, encompassing three main floors and two sub-basements, is the Library's flagship location, providing the system's largest collection of popular and research sources.
The Main Library offers a wide collection of books, music, and movies, and hosts many programs for children, teens, and adults.
